Riemer Knoop;Marjelle van Hoorn;ZHANG Hui;Amsterdam University of the Arts;Zhejiang University;
The"Participatory Museum: Opportunities, Risks, Issues"workshop organized by Zhejiang University and Amsterdam University of the Arts had different themes each week: Introduction, Participatory Presenting, Participatory Acquisition, Participatory Research, and Summary. In the traditional mode of Museum 1.0 the museum develops exhibitions and broadcast contents and information by itself with the audience being the passive receiver. Museum 2.0 is a new platform where the audience participates in content creation and shares with other audiences and museum professionals. The participatory museum is a new museological concept, which emphasizes creation, sharing, interaction and communication. According to this concept, the museum is a place where people can make their own creation on the content provided by the museum and share it with others.
